The Vedic culture has always promoted sustainable usage of natural resources and environment; therefore we have been promoting respect for surrounding in our traditions. Unless we respect our nature we cannot keep it clean and safe. Therefore it becomes a responsibility of every citizen to make India clean which somewhere has been neglected in the race of progress. The religious places became dirtier and hospitals a mess. It’s time to change, and to be sensitized to same our future generations.
Cleanliness is next to godliness. This slogan has become the throbbing statement for various activities at Delhi Public School Mandla Road to sensitize students about the importance of cleanliness. Celebrating Swatchta Pakhwada from 1st Sep to 15th September 2017 as integral part of national celebrations we at Delhi Public School Mandla Road extended the fortnight with erudite activities. In a special assembly students took an  oath and a written pledge  to maintain cleanliness in school, classroom, play ground and neighbourhood. Participating in Hindi essay writing competition students expressed their views and suggestions for clean India.  The school conducted community service under the flagship of scout and guide led by Dr. Satyam Mishra. Students visited the neighbouring village of Rani Durgavati Samadhi, Narai, Jabalpur to proliferate about hygiene and spotlessness to the villagers. They were also inspired to use toilets and overcome habits of open defecation. The awareness programme in Narai was presided over by the Sarpanch Shri Gardhari Patel. In festive occasion of drawing competition students came up with beautiful drawings to inspire visitors of the school to maintain cleanliness as they were displayed on the graffiti wall of the school.
 The fortnight of swatchta pakwada was sponsored under the guidance of Member of the Management Dr H.L. Prajapati, Shri Satya Narayan, Smt Shalvi, Mrs Aparna Choubey-Principal, Smt Sridevi Rajendran & Dr Satyam Mishra
